It is great to announce Vincent Chan as our Associate Pastor of Next Generation and Families. Born and raised in Vancouver, Vincent has worked with kids and youth for over 20 years in different contexts, including church groups, child care centres, drop-in programs, and camps. He loves seeing young people realize and live out their potential while overcoming the hardships and realities of life. He also loves exploring and camping in the backcountry.

He will be starting part time in January 2024, and will be going to full-time May 2024.

We are excited to have Elyse Yu Brouwer join the VCPC family. She will start part-time in the summer of 2024 and will be our Associate Pastor of Revitalization. This includes leadership development, discipleship strategies, and neighbourhood engagement. She will be on staff full-time in November 2024.

Elyse is married to Christian. They have a daughter, Jayda, and a son named Noah. Elyse grew up in Riley Park. She is a second-generation Cantonese immigrant to Canada. She gave her life to Jesus in the youth ministry at Broadway Church, and God has called her into vocational ministry.

She has been in ministry for over ten fruitful years. She is ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and is working on her masters degree with Regent College.

In the meantime, Elyse will be on site for Sundays. She will be occasionally speaking throughout the spring and summer months at VCPC.
